|Book Into Movie|
This summer I previewed a DVD that is now available in stores, LOVE COMES SOFTLY, which is based on Janette Oke's bestselling book of the same title. If you are looking for a nice film that you can enjoy with your entire family, may we suggest you pick this one up?
Our current lineup includes an interview with T. Davis Bunn that was done by Cindy Crosby. My favorite part of this website is our interview section where we give you a chance to hear what authors have to say about their work --- and their spiritual commitments. With this in mind, I also am happy to share Faithful Fifteen interviews with both Ted Dekker and Leisha Kelly in this issue.
Our Inspirational Quote of the Day this month is taken from COME THIRSTY, Max Lucado's new book, which will be in stores on October 8th. We're sure that once you read these quotes you will want to explore the rest of this book.
Have a wonderful October...I always see this as a month to catch up between back to school and the holidays. Hope you can enjoy some time with a book.

|FaithfulReader.com Talks to T. Davis Bunn, Author of THE INNOCENT LIBERTINE|
For T. Davis Bunn, God is in the details. Nowhere is this more evident than in his carefully researched historical novels, including his latest series, "Heirs of Acadia." For nineteen years Bunn has been a world traveler who lives abroad, has visited more than forty countries, and is fluent in three languages. His experiences and adventures are rich soil for his stories to take root and develop. Here, FaithfulReader.com contributing writer Cindy Crosby talks to Bunn about his life, his collaboration on the "Heirs of Acadia" series with wife Isabella, and the recent hurricane that found him seeking solace --- in books, of course.|

|Ted Dekker and Leisha Kelly Answer The Faithful Fifteen|
Each month FaithfulReader.com invites some of your favorite writers to respond to the Faithful Fifteen, a list of questions developed to give readers insight into Christian authors --- and what they write.|
Ted Dekker is the bestselling author of numerous books, including BLACK, RED and WHITE, which comprise "The Circle" trilogy. In this interview, Dekker talks about growing up as a "missionary kid" and the role that faith plays in his life and work. He also shares an email he recently received from a woman whose faith level has soared to a much higher level as a result of reading his books.
Leisha Kelly, author of JULIA'S HOPE, EMMA'S GIFT and KATIE'S DREAM, discusses her early church experiences and her profession of faith as a teenager. She also shares the important lessons that her spiritual and professional mentors have taught her, how she and her family honor the true meaning of Christmas, and her uplifting visit to a nursing home.

We don't usually identify with the author of a great story. Instead we bond with the hero or heroine --- the one who the story is about. As author Steve Brown explains in his brave new book, Christians don't trust freedom; they prefer the security of rules and self-imposed boundaries, which they tend to inflict on other Christians. Within the pages of A SCANDALOUS FREEDOM are compelling validations of our need to celebrate real, unstinted freedom in Christ. Reviewed by Marcia Ford.
